Project Brief

Complete branding and digital design for Monstera Ink, a tranquil tattoo and piercing studio in Romford, London. The studio brings together international artists specializing in diverse styles—from realism and portraiture to horror, therapeutic tattoos, and fine line work—while offering trauma-informed care in a calm, welcoming environment.

Design Approach

The brand identity balances elegance with edge—sophisticated enough to appeal to clients seeking fine art tattoos, while maintaining the authentic, artistic energy of tattoo culture. The monogram logo is both modern and timeless, with the ink droplet detail subtly referencing the craft. Typography choices combine classic serif elements with contemporary layouts, while the color palette of black, white, and selective accent colors (gold/copper) conveys premium quality.

The Monstera plant reference in the name inspired organic, growth-oriented design elements while maintaining clean, professional presentation suitable for a trauma-informed, welcoming studio environment.
