First-year university project to create an interactive advertising poster and supporting marketing materials for PlayFull, an exhibition by artists Elly Thomas and Adam James. The exhibition features playfully constructed installations exploring the importance of play in our lives.Creative Approach
The campaign needed to capture the exhibition's spirit of childlike wonder and surprise while demonstrating the interactive, unexpected nature of the installations themselves. I wanted the marketing materials to mirror the exhibition experience—inviting audiences to engage rather than passively observe.The focal point is deceptively simple: a balloon with the handwritten word "PlayFull" across it. The playful, informal typography reflects the exhibition's accessible, joyful tone. But the real magic happens through augmented reality—when viewed through the Artivive app, the balloon animates and floats away, transforming a static poster into an unexpected moment of delight.

"Get Blown Away" works on multiple levels—referencing the balloon's flight in the AR experience while promising that the exhibition itself will leave visitors amazed. The double meaning bridges the interactive poster concept with the artists' work.Deliverables
