In this project, we were asked to design, print, and bind a booklet on either an aspect of our identity or someone who inspires us. As a young aspiring tattoo artist, I've looked up to Grace Neutral and followed her since her first appearance as a host on the Viceland series "Needles & Pins," which documents tattoo culture around the world. 

My method involved making a series of marks with stencil ink, tattoo needles, grip wrap, and other materials commonly used in tattoo practice. I then scanned, copied, and layered them to create raw, one-of-a-kind imagery, which I combined with edited photographs of Grace and excerpts from her interviews.
